The days of dog-food allergies are numbered.
According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Americans are ingesting nearly 40 billion dog food treats a year, according to the Food Allergy Research and Education Network.
A dog food allergy is characterized by an intolerance to a food, the most common being dog-derived dog-meat or dairy products.
Dog owners are increasingly using food-based products to treat allergic reactions, as the number of dog food-allergic people has increased by 25 percent over the past decade.
“Dogs have been a huge part of the allergy world for a long time, and there’s just a tremendous demand for dog food,” said Dr. Lisa A. Womack, an allergist with the American College of Allergists in New York City.
But many of the dog foods we use now are not suitable for people with dog allergies.
The American College has been advocating for a healthier dog food for more than a decade, with the goal of making a healthier product available to all Americans.
Its latest report on dog food allergies, released this month, recommends a diet that includes whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and the avoidance of all meats and dairy products as well as eggs, nuts, soy products, peanuts and wheat.
It’s no longer enough to eat a “safe” dog food; you must also consume the right amount of it, said Dr, Rebecca C. Mays, a veterinary allergist at the Mayo Clinic.
She recommends a balanced diet that provides enough protein and calcium and vitamin D. Dogs should not be fed grain-based diets, such as corn, soy or corn meal.
Dogs should also avoid any form of animal fat, which is associated with allergies, including butter, lard, bacon, sausages and fish.
We also need to address the myth that all dog food is the same.
It’s not, said Womak.
While dogs may be able to eat raw dog food, it’s not always easy to find.
It may take some time to find the right ingredients for your dog’s diet, but if you do, she said, it can be a “time-consuming and rewarding process.”
Dr. Wobach said it’s critical to know your dog and your diet.
Food allergies are often due to a mix of triggers, including allergies in the gut, which are triggered by foods, allergens and other triggers, according a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
So, don’t give up and get a dietitian to help you understand your dog.
If you’re worried about your dog getting food allergies from the food, avoid dog food altogether.
It can also be a sign that your dog has a genetic disorder that can lead to an allergy, or if you’re allergic to certain types of animal fats, Womach said.
As for the ingredients in your dog food?
All of the ingredients are safe for dogs, according Womac.
And some of the most important ingredients are omega-3 fats.
Some of the top dog food ingredients are meat, wheat, corn and soy.
Womac said the most frequent allergens that are linked to allergies in dogs are eggs, fish, nuts and egg yolks, which can be associated with asthma, rashes and other reactions.
Also, Wobac says that eating eggs can cause an increase in allergies in young dogs.
You may also want to check the label of your dog foods to make sure you’re getting all the nutrients your dog needs.

The American Academy has been pushing for changes to the food industry to help improve the health of our pets.
They’ve recommended the addition of new allergens to the list of allergens people should be aware of.
