Researchers in Germany have found that heart health improves when you eat heart-healthy meals.
The study was published in the Journal of Nutrition and Food Science.
It was done in collaboration with the German Federal Institute for Nutrition and Dietetics.
Researchers from the German federal institute for nutrition and dietetics compared participants who ate a heart-health diet with those who ate normal diet.
The participants in the heart-care group who ate the heart health diet had lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, higher levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and lower triglycerides, which are the cholesterol-laden fats that can cause heart disease.
The researchers also found that people who ate heart-friendly meals had lower levels of inflammation and inflammation markers in the blood.
